The killings of the road crew prompted a wave of fury and recrimination in the colonial capitals, and the colony spent several weeks organizing its response. In the meantime, the Tsilhqot’in were not idle. Klatsassin and his group were meeting with other Tsilhqot’ins and carrying out more attacks.
