In the two or three years before his death, Tom Thomson’s artwork had shown marked improvement. In spring 1917, Thomson left Toronto for Algonquin Park, and engaged in an ambitious painting exercise – production of a sketch every day, to document how the Park changed through the season.
Your task is to search through the documents here, created during the spring of 1917, to understand what Thomson was doing in Algonquin Park in the months before his death, as well as to gather clues as to what sort of issues might have played a role in his death.
