Winnifred Trainor, Letter to T. J. Harkness, Sept. 8, 1917

Huntsville

T. J. Harkness Esq.
Annan, Ont.

Dear Mr. Harkness,

I received your letter some little time ago containing the money orders and for which I wish to thank you. I mentioned the receipt to Miss Margaret Thompson in my last letter to Owen Sound and in her reply she asked me to acknowledge. The reason I had not was because I did not just know what to say and you already had the original receipts.

And for my part it is hard to write this same receipt. It seems like two years instead of just 2 months to-day since Tom was drowned.

I wish to thank you for your kind invitation to visit you and hope sometime to be able to accept it.

I had the pleasure of meeting your daughter Miss Jessie together with Charles and Miss Margaret Thomson.

Yours respectfully,
Winnifred Trainor
