Cox to the Colonial Secretary of British Columbia Gold Commissioner's Office Sir, I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt this morning of your communication of the 14 instant referring to the murder of Europeans by Indians near Bute Inlet. I shall leave this place for Quesnelmouth tomorrow morning where I intend making the necessary arrangements for proceeding immediately to the scene of the late outrage and will use my utmost endeavors to bring the perpetrators to justice.
