About Published Journals
Longer articles published in journals tend to be pieces not oriented to daily news so much as the longer-term implications of the stories or topics they treat. This collection includes both period articles such as John Rae’s recent explorations, essentially an expedition report published in The Journal of the Royal Geographical Society, correspondence between Sir Francis Leopold McClintock and Frederick Schwatka about the fate of the Franklin party, as well as much more recent scientific treatments of aspects of the Franklin Expedition, including the archaeological article by Keenleyside and co-authors on the skeletal evidence of the human remains of the Franklin Expedition.
