THE BIDDULPH ASSAULT CASE. — The Police Magistrate, in the capacity of a Justice of the Peace, has been engaged for two days past in hearing the evidence in two assault cases which occurred in the township of Biddulph in September last. The complainants were Joseph Berryhill and James Curry, and the defendant Thomas Donnelly, "a broth of a boy." In the case of Berryhill, the defendant was convicted and fined $20, and [$22.25] costs, or two months in jail. He was given until Saturday to pay. The Curry case could not be made out.
