Sister Rebecca
[...] All my boys are away from me now and consequently I have do all my work my self therefore I have to work late and early. [...] We had a heavy rain last night and more today so the ground is saturated so that I cannot work amongst my corn but I can plow so I am not at a loss for something to do, in fact I have so much to do that I need evry day to be fair in order to get along with my work I have worked my team evry day since spring work commenced only while it was raining too hard to stay out and yet I can frolic with the boys when I am not too tired, I never enjoyed better health than this spring I wished I could spare time to go and see you for I would like to have a good talk with you All well at present, Love to all the family, Good night — (signed) R.W.
