Henry Ferguson Esq, JP
Dear Sir,
I think you will be right in dismissing the case against Donelly for the alleged burning of Flanagan’s barn. Donnelly might lodge an information against Kennedy for perjury before you. You could then issue a warrant for Kennedy’s arrest. Kennedy was here the other day; he says he intends prosecuting the Donnellys for an assault upon him. I wrote you for the papers in the case against Kennedy, which you disposed of, but have not received them. I return the papers you send this mg.[morning] in the arson case.[...]
Yours truly,
Charles Hutchinson, County Atty
