The Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
A place of pilgrimage, located at the east end of rue Saint-Paul, this chapel was founded by Marguerite Bourgeoys, founder of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame. Following the burning of the Hôtel-Dieu, the Hospitaller Sisters of Saint-Joseph moved into the chapel and adjoining house and continued their work with the sick. A few of the sisters succumbed to the epidemic that struck the colony in 1734. They were buried beneath the chapel.
