Building Remains

Sometimes the outlines of buildings are visible in the ground. Below is a series of photographs of what usually remains of a Viking building after one thousand years. Can you identify the walls and some of the interior features? How do you think what you see here would provide the information necessary to build the reconstructions also shown here?
