Chapter 1

[...] Thorolf went home to his farm in the spring, sending men to Vogan [a small island off the northern coast of Norway] to fish cod and others to catch herring, and he stocked up with all manner of provisions. [...]

[...] Egil set sail for the fishing camp called Vitar which lies off Alden, well away from travel routs. There were fishermen there who were good sources for the latest news.
