Claim by Mary Robinson on Her Husband's Estate
Her Britannic Majesty's Consulate
To all to whom these Presents shall come:
I, Charles Edward Keith Kortright, Her Britannic Majesty's Consul for the States of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, Esquire, Do hereby Certify, That Mary E. Robinson, maiden name, Mary E. Spriggs, aged about 44 years, born in Williamsport, State of Maryland, United States, who in being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, did declare and say, that on the 4th of December 1845, she was married to William Robinson, of the State of New Jersey by the Rev. William Moore; that of said marriage she had four children, viz:- Rosetta, aged 23 years, William, aged 21 years, Charles, aged 19 years, and Harriet, aged 14 years, — all of whom are living with this deponent; that her husband was murdered at Salt Spring Island on the [blank] day of March, 1869 and that he having died intestate this deponent and her children are entitled as heirs at Law to all his real and personal estate, and would request that the proceeds be remitted to the British Consul at this [part?].

In faith and testimony whereof, I , the said Consul, do hereunto set my hand and affix my Seal of Office at the City of Philadelphia, this first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two.
