George SmithGeorge Smith, a Scot, was working with Waddington's road crew when it was attacked at Bute Inlet on the April 30, 1864. He was killed by a Tsilhqot'in warrior while he slept. Smith was sharing a tent with Peter Petersen, a survivor, and Robert Pollock who was also killed. |
