Malcolm McLeod

Malcolm McLeod was one of five survivors of McDonald's pack train that was attacked by Tsilhqot'in warriors on May 17, 1864. He was the cousin of Robert McLeod, killed by Indians, possibly Tsilhqot'ins, eighteen months earlier.

Malcolm McLeod was badly wounded by a shot in the hand and his horse was killed under him. He was able to escape and was the first survivor to reach Bella Coola and report the attack
