Joseph FieldingJoseph Fielding, a native of Derbyshire, England, was working with Waddington’s road crew when it was attacked at Bute Inlet on April 30, 1864. He was killed by a Tsilhqot’in warrior while sleeping in the tent he shared with James Campbell and Edward Mosely. Campbell was also shot dead while Mosely escaped relatively unscathed. |
