...the news from that post is by no means favourable. The Indians of the Grand Lac stole one of the Cos. Horses, and one & all of them appear inclined to mischief. The keeping up such a paltry Establishment is in my humble opinion a dead loss to the HHB. Co. and risking the lives of people placed at it — who are little better than slaves to the Indians, being unable to keep them in check...
