George Gallager
A resident of the village of Chipman, George Gallager and his family took care of the “Frozen Man” for most of the time the latter spent in Chipman Parish. In the 1861 census of New Brunswick for Queen’s County, George is reported to be a 28-year old farmer, residing with his twin older brothers, his sisters and elderly parents, as well as the Frozen Man, reported to be a 23-year old "sick and infirm cripple" lodger named "Lemo Bellamy."
