The Gagnon Trial

Quebec City, 26. — (D.N.C.) — When Télesphore Gagnon's trial resumed this morning, a witness, Monsieur E. Leboeuf, stated that the accused had told him that he beat his daughter Aurore with a braided leather whip. Another witness, Madame A. Leboeuf, declared that she had seen the accused beat the victim with a braided thong whip.

Marie-Jeanne Gagnon, sister of the victim, was heard next and declared that her father, the accused, would beat little Aurore with wooden barrel staves and that she saw him tie the child's hands behind her back in order to beat her.
