Dear Sir,
The bearer Mr Donnelly has a complaint for trespass to lodge against a number of men, who appear to have acted in a very unjustifiable way, & are clearly liable to be punished. I have advised him to go to you, as a magistrate sure to act as you think right without that fear of consequence which seems to prevent the Lucan justices from doing their duty.
