Letter to C. Hutchinson from William Donnelly
Lucan June 29th 1880
My dear Sir
[...] Pat Sulivan father of Ned Sulivan Vigilants told Robert Keefe son a few days ago, while talking of the murder, that there were not many guns at the doing of the deed and that my father and brother Tom died very soft [...] Michael [Power?] of this place went to join them one night but they would not take him because he was friendly with us. It will be very hard to get them to tell the like of this as there is no doubt Father Connelly is trying to seal all their mouths for the sake of Catholicity. [...]
Yours truly
(signed) W. Donnelly
