Glencoe Transcript, July 10, 1884
Charles Burchell, who was assaulted by Bob Donnelly, on the night of the 2nd, has been lingering between life and death ever since. Yesterday and this morning, however, there was a change for the better in his condition, and there are strong hopes of his recovery. His assailant has not yet been arrested, no information having been laid.
