Dear Mr Thompson,

It would be useless to attempt to apologise for not having written you before.

I preferred not to do so immediately on my return from Algonquin Park as you would still have been in the bush and the letter would have been some time in reaching you.

I can hardly realise that the time has passed so quickly and that it is more than six months since Harry Bracken and I returned to Toronto.

But I still have a very lively recollection of the trip & both Harry & myself feel very grateful to you for all that you did (and it was considerable) to add to the pleasures of the holiday.

The salmon trout which you will remember I brought out with me arrived here in fine condition and was much appreciated.

I enclose a photo of myself holding this fish; Harry asks me to point out that the one without a hat on is the fish.

A fair proportion of the photos turned out well. I enclose some of those most likely to interest you.

I am particularly pleased with the enlargement of the cabin with yourself & Harry in the foreground. Unfortunately this was the only one of you which turned out well.

I was under the impression that we took a photo of you fly casting from a rock in Crown Lake but perhaps we used your camera. If it turned out all right it should be a good one.
