Monday September 21
Caught 5 small trout this morning, ‘pearl wobbler’ & came back to Smoke L. T. Thompson & A.Y. Jackson here tonight, camped on Windy Point. Very hot today and strong S.W. wind Met large party on Pocupine going to Rock Lake. 5 people with 13 guides.
Tuesday September 22
Around camp all day. Fixed sketch-box for Tom Thompson, he & Jackson here for lunch. Awfully hot today. Raining a little tonight but still very warm. Lent a lantern to a man & woman last night going to Cache L.

Rained during the night & this forenoon. I cut wood. Thompson & Jackson called here, going to Canoe L. from Ragged. L. I got three black ducks, on the Island tonight Cleared up this evening. east wind today warmer tonight.

Looked at traps this morning & put out tow more. Went out to P.O. this aft. Thompson & Jackson called in here, going to Ragged L. Fine & clear today quite warm, sought wind. much warmer tonight.

Friday October 23
Looked at traps, this mor. at house rest of day. Not feeling well. Thomson & Jackson went in to Canoe Lake, Jackson left for Toronto this evening. Fine today, strong east wind. Colder tonight – getting cloudy.
