Examination of the chest, made Nov. 16th 1899.: —
Deficient expansion at the left base, with diminished tactile fremitus & enfeebled breath sounds. Voice sounds distinct & more articulate than at the right base. A few “crackles” on coughing, in the left infrascapular area.
Right lung shows no abnormal signs.
T. 99 2/5 (4 p.m.)
Sputum scanty & muco-purulent, contains a fairly large number of tubercle bacilli.
Heart sounds normal (no pulmonary accentuations).
