My dear Sir:-
[...]Poor Mr. [Peter] Redpath continued to fail steadily after you left and soon got so that he dreaded the exertion of going to town and remained quietly at home. The hemorrhage was sudden and very profuse and the end came at once. It delivered him from a few months that would have been largely filled with discomfort.[...]
