INDENTURE

JOCELYN CLIFFORD REDPATH
to
JAMES BRYCE ALLAN
BEFORE Mtre. HENRY FRY, the undersigned Public Notary for the Province of Quebec, practising at the City of Montreal,
APPEARED:
JOCELYN CLIFFORD REDPATH of the City of Montreal, Law Student,
WHO declared that he has recently been admitted to the study of the profession of an Advocate in the Province of Quebec, and he doth by these presents bind and engage himself as a Student or Articled Clerk with and to James Bryce Allan of the City of Montreal, Esquire, Advocate, present and accepting, to learn the profession of an Advocate for the term of five years or such longer or shorter period as may be required by law to complete his clerkship, to be computed and reckoned from and after this date. During which time the said Jocelyn Clifford Redpath promises that he will diligently and faithfully serve him the said James Bryce Allan and his representatives in all things appertaining to the said profession, will obey all lawful commands, will keep all secrets of the said James Bryce Allan, will not make away with or destroy any books, papers or documents, and will on all occasions conduct and demean himself in a fit and gentlemanly manner.
And the said James Bryce Allan on his part promises to teach and instruct the said Student in the said profession and in all things appertaining thereto in so far as he, the said Student may have capacity to take up and learn the same.
WHEREOF ACTE:
THUS DONE AND PASSED at the City of Montreal this twenty-fifth day of July One thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight and of record in the office of the said Mtre. Fry under the No. Five thousand nine hundred and ninety-five.
And after due reading hereof the parties signed in the presence of the said Notary.
