Cox to the Colonial Secretary of British Columbia Richfield The Honorable Sir, I have the honor to report that the indian witnesses Tom referred to in my letter of the 2nd and Yours of the 8 ultimo have returned to the Chilcoaten Country. It would appear from what I can learn that Alexis, when lately at Alexandria, recommended their returning to their friends. The Alexandrian and Chilcoaten tribes being hostile to one another.
