Le Soleil, March 17, 1920, p. 12 ALLEGED HOMICIDE IN LOTBINIERE The Police Court will decide tomorrow if the Gagnon couple of Ste. Philomène will be tried at the Assizes for the murder of their little daughter Télesphore Gagnon and his wife, of Ste. Philomène de Fortierville, in the county of Lotbinière, who have just undergone a preliminary investigation before the Honourable Justice Choquette of the Police Court on the charge of having maltreated their young daughter and thereby having caused her death, will appear for voluntary examination tomorrow morning. It will then be decided if they will be tried at the next term of the Criminal Assizes that is due to begin on the 6th of next month. Everything seems to indicate that the charge will be changed to an even more serious one. Source: Le Soleil, "Le prétendu homicide de Lotbinière," Le Soleil (Québec), March 17, 1920.
