The Case of the Gagnon Woman

Quebec City, 29 (D.N.C.)-A dispatch from Ottawa this morning informs us that the Privy Council has today reconsidered the case of the Gagnon woman. The birth of the condemned woman's two children is her lawyers' strongest argument. At the Quebec City prison, the Gagnon woman, who thus far has suffered bouts of depression, seems to have regained the frightening calm she displayed throughout her trial. She has been visited by the chaplain and seems resigned to suffer her fate.

The dispatch from Ottawa indicates that a stay of execution will most likely be granted.
