Dear Sir,
[...] I suppose you saw the article in the Hamilton paper about the farmer meeting 2 men with guns on the night of the murder, one of them resembling Carroll. A fable of coarse—but it shows what the defendants will resort to. The next day, there was an article in the Free Press, condemning the delay in bringing on the trial.
