Hodgins, William

Born in Ireland, William Hodgins became a constable in Lucan in the 1870s. He worked with fellow constable James Carroll and the Vigilance Committee in their attempts to remove the Donnellys from Lucan. In 1878 a large crowd of villagers watched Hodgins fight John Donnelly in Lucan.
