Statement Regarding the Feehelys, 1881

Patrick Donnelly swears, [...] I says Bill [Feehely] I always thought you knew something about it he asked me to for godsake to forgive him as he was lead into it by others, [...] he said he went there that night to see who was in the house he said he did not think they were going to murder them, if he did he would not have done it.
John McConnell sworn,
[...] I was aquainted with the Feehelys [...] I had other conversations with James Feehely, [...] he was sent by the Vigilant Committee to the Donnelly house to see who was there as they intended to [illegible] the family that night and hang them up until they told who burned Ryders barn, he told me he went to the house and when he came out to the road he saw James Carroll with James Maher, there were other names but I don't remember them he told [illegible] who was in the house [...].
